Snopes
Snopes is a source you can use for urban legends, rumors, and misinformation. It is particularly helpful with those pesky group emailings with outrageous claims. It is run by Barbara and David Mikkelson who established the website in 1995.

TruthOrFiction.com
This website is similar to Snopes, particularly checking those forwarded emails. They will check rumors, those wonderful inspirational stories, virus warnings, scams, and calls to action.
